February is the month of wishes when referring to the
Make-A-Wish Foundation. Arkansas Chi
Omega ended the month on a strong note by holding the “B-B-Q to Make-A-Wish Come
True” barbeque. The barbeque was a
success with over 600 in attendance and almost $7,000 raised in funds from this
event alone. Rib Crib BBQ from
Springdale provided food for a discounted price and I can vouch first hand on
the deliciousness of that dinner!
Chi Omega Philanthropy Chair, Anna Rohweder, said, “The
dinner turned out to be a huge success!
It makes me so happy to know that the money raised will be used to bring
some happiness into a child’s life that is battling a life threatening
illness.”
The girls in this chapter are thankful that they get to
experience their philanthropy firsthand and B-B-Q to Make A Wish Come True was
another step towards seeing another wish granted. Thank you to everyone who was involved!
