What a semester it has been for Arkansas Alpha Pi Beta Phi!
From social events to philanthropy events, and everything in between, here are
some of our favorites:
Pizookie
One of our main philanthropy events for this semester was Pi
Phi Pizookie. On March 13, about five hundred people came on down to the Pi Phi
house to enjoy some homemade pizookies, compliments of Chef Pat. There was good
music, laughs, and the best part was that all of the $2,688.60 from ticket
sales was for the kids: it all went straight towards children’s literacy.
Founder’s Day
This year, we celebrated 151 years of Pi Phi! On Saturday,
April 28, active members and alumni alike all came to 502 W Maple in order to
celebrate the women that created Pi Phi. It was a sweet day, filled with even
sweeter memories and conversations. The things that our sorority has
accomplished in only 151 years is amazing and the future of Pi Phi is even
better. We are so grateful to celebrate such an incredible organization!
Monmouth
We finished this semester off with Monmouth, our formal with
the women of Kappa Kappa Gamma. From the beautiful dresses to the photographer
taking photos all throughout the function and a live performance from Goose,
this night was unforgettable. It was a great
way to wrap up the year and a great last event for our
seniors, who we will miss so dearly.
Phi Level Award
Due to the hard work of each member in our chapter and our
wonderful executive team throughout the past year as a whole, we earned the
title of “Phi Level” for our region. This puts our Arkansas Alpha chapter into
the running for the national Balfour award, which is only given to the absolute
best Pi Beta Phi chapter in the entire country. We are beyond ecstatic to be
called Phi Level and I cannot wait to see where this will take our chapter
next.
All in all, the spring 2018 semester was wonderful: we
raised money for causes that we care so much about, further grew our
relationships with our sisters, maintained our extension into the rest of
campus, and so much more. This semester was one for the books!
