Fun, friends, and philanthropy are three words I would use to describe the 2014 Wings for Wishes dinner at Chi Omega. On September 24th, the weather was ideal and set the tone for an enjoyable dinner on the lawn. Over the course of two hours, almost 800 people came through the chapter house to support their philanthropy, Make-A-Wish.
Katie Goss, a former Make-A-Wish child and wish ambassador, attended the philanthropy dinner and experienced a night amongst the many college students. Katie and Chi Omega’s Philanthropy Chair, Anna Rohweder, are pictured below.
Tyson and Simmons Food donated the barbecue wings, while AQ Chicken provided the dinner rolls. Zebra Cakes were served for dessert and didn’t last long.
Through this event alone, approximately $9,500 was raised to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation - ultimately granting a wish to another deserving child who has a life-threatening medical illness.
