Walk to End Alzheimer's

This past Saturday, Phi Mu participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Springdale, AR.  The entire event was extremely successful raising a grand total of $82, 788.14. Phi Mu as a chapter raised a total of $6,105.00, which made them the second highest donating team in the Springdale walk.

Emily Thompson, a sophomore Phi Mu, who has two grandparents with Alzheimer’s, says her favorite part of the walk was that “you got hear a lot of personal testimonies and see why it was such a good cause to raise money for.”

Phi Mu carried different colored flowers to represent a reason that they were personally participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Not only did the Phi Mu team contain chapter members, the walk fell on the same weekend as parents weekend/dad’s day in Fayetteville so many family members participated along side their daughters in the walk. In the end, the Walk to End Alzheimers' was extremely successful raising money and was a fun way to bond with others for a great cause.
