On November
12, Kappa Kappa Gamma hosted their annual Kappa Con Queso Philanthropy Dinner
from 5-8 p.m. at the Kappa House. Despite the cold weather, the incredible food
and friendly faces in attendance made it a memorable and successful night!
The dining
room was decorated with an array of bright and festive colors. Colored
streamers were draped from the ceiling and tables were covered with colored table
clothes, table runners, flowers and confetti.
Kappa’s
chef, Chef John, prepared the meal: yummy chicken tacos, rice, chips, queso and
guacamole. About 700 people came to Kappa Con Queso to eat the delicious dinner
and support Kappa! Around $7,000 was raised benefiting one of Kappa’s
philanthropies, the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.
The festive
decorations, happy atmosphere, conversations and laughter that filled the room,
and the sight of empty plates were all signs of a successful night. The ladies
of Kappa Kappa Gamma always love hosting this Philanthropy Dinner, as it is an
opportunity to bond with others and to raise money for the Kappa Kappa Gamma
Foundation. Thank you to everyone who attended Kappa Con Queso and helped make
it a wonderful night!
